He at one time held all-time marks for most games and at-bats, is still the lifetime leader in total bases and RBIs, and his batting average over 23 seasons was an incredible .305. The National League MVP in 1957, he appeared in a record 24 All-Star contests with the Braves (Milwaukee and Atlanta) and Brewers.
